Most people know The LAB 406 as Bozeman’s indoor batting cages. We have four indoor cages, each 60 feet long and 14 feet wide. They can also be opened up into one large 60 × 56 foot cage for bigger groups or events.
Every cage is equipped with a pitching machine, an L-screen, and a tee. In front of the cages, there’s a shared common area where you can set down your gear and hang out.
The space is great for fun with friends and family, birthday parties, training sessions, work events, and more.
Our indoor facility is located at 156 Wildcat Wy in Bozeman, Montana. Just East of Four Corners, off of Huffine Ln.
Our hours change by season, and availability can vary from day to day. From September through May, we’re open to the public Friday through Sunday. Weekday access during this time is only open to Passholders.
To see what’s available, select the cage you’d like to book and view the calendar for the upcoming week. Unless you’re an Annual Passholder, bookings can be made up to one week in advance. Parties and private events may be booked at any time.
If you don’t see a time that works, feel free to contact us—we’re happy to help.
Everyone’s welcome at The LAB 406! Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned player, a kid, an adult, or just looking for a fun outing with friends or family—our batting cages are open to all. No experience needed!
We also host a wide range of experiences, from birthday parties to date nights. We also offer social events, private parties, and group outings for all occasions.
At The LAB 406, we use Hack Attack Baseball and Softball Pitching Machines—high-performance machines that make your visit feel like the real deal. Whether you’re here for fun with friends, a party, or a unique date idea, these machines deliver fast, exciting, and super satisfying pitches.
They can throw fastballs, curveballs, sliders, and more, and we offer both automatic and manual feeding options—so you can go hands-free or take turns feeding balls into the machine. With a smooth, realistic pitch delivery and speeds up to 100+ MPH (don’t worry, we can tone it down!), the Hack Attack machines make batting cage time way more fun and way less boring.
Batting cages have some risks, like any activity. To reduce them, always follow instructions, wear proper gear like a helmet, and stay aware of your surroundings.
Batting cages are a fun, easy way to do something different. Like bowling or mini golf, they’re simple to jump into, no experience required. But, in our opinion, they’re far more satisfying! You can swing at your own pace, laugh with friends, and enjoy the feeling of hitting the ball, all while getting in some light movement. If you want it to, swinging in the cage can be a legitimate workout that builds explosive power, improves balance, and boosts overall stamina.
Pitching machines can shorten a bat’s lifespan, but high-quality bats are designed to handle the impact better. To protect your gear, The LAB 406 offers rental equipment so you don’t have to risk damaging your own bat.
